Nazo

Knotting and Weaving

Trainer

For most professions there are no female teachers. Therefore we were dependent on male teachers right from the start. The students who are accepted for the training must tolerate a male teacher. If necessary, the director or the chairman gets into contact with the respective head of the family for a clarifying discussion.  Only when the family agrees, the woman can come into the center and learn. During recent years these discussions have become less necessary because the good work of the NAZO training center had spread around the neighborhood.

Today many of our former students teach new trainees in their workshops.

Another positive outcome of our training: Women can transfer their knowledge and their profession as multiplier to other women. In the long term they are not reliant on male teachers any more.
