Hanifa lost her husband a few years ago and now has to look after her three sons alone as a widow. She shares the fate of all women in Afghanistan: she is not allowed to leave the house or work.
Her younger sons Murtaza (13) and Mujtaba (9) attend school. Her eldest son Mohsen is in 11th grade at the age of 17 and works part-time to pay for extra English lessons. As the family has no other income, they are in urgent need of support. Hanifa’s hope lies in her sons. With a good education, they will be able to earn the family income through their work in the future.
Until then, they need your support. If you are prepared to secure the family’s livelihood with a small monthly contribution, this would lay the foundation for a hopeful future.
