With armed conflicts and the resulting uncertainties on the market, the prices of imported goods are rising continuously. Our sister organization ALS in Kabul has therefore decided to buy the planned solar system now and have it installed.

At the end of June, the solar modules, inverters, batteries and accessories were purchased and – carefully packed – brought to the center by car. The installation was carried out professionally by an electrical engineer. Due to the strong winds in the greater Kabul area, it was decided to have additional welding work carried out to ensure that the solar modules are securely fastened and cannot be damaged.

After installation, the system was checked and tested. It now reliably supplies electricity for lighting, transporting water from a deep well to the building, and using computers, printers and other office equipment.

We received happy words from Kabul: not only the material aid was gratefully received, but also the fact that there are people in Germany who have made this possible fills them with deep gratitude that cannot be put into words. The fact that they are not forgotten amidst all the worries and hardships that are currently shaking the world gives them hope. Many thanks to all donors.
