News and social media are currently full of terrible images from Afghanistan, there is chaos, fear and above all a very high level of insecurity. Memories of the Taliban’s rule over 20 years ago are coming back and despite their assurances that they have moved on, allow girls to go to school and women to work, we are playing it safe with our women and have therefore blocked some of the content on this website.

The employees of our sister organization ALS, our supported women and girls – they all stay at home for the time being for safety. We have to wait and see how the situation develops and we will continue to support where we can. We will keep you informed.
