Maryam’s entire life was turned upside down by the earthquake disaster in September 2025. Now she lives with her family in a cold, lifeless tent. Overwhelmed by grief and sorrow, Maryam sometimes finds it difficult to speak properly; the words slip away from her and endless tears wet her face. The house that was once a warm and safe haven for her and her children has now become a pile of rubble and bitter memories.
She lost her husband in the earthquake and is now on her own, having to stay strong for her three young daughters and son. That is why we want to support her and give her hope for the future.
