In June 2026, we reached an agreement with our sister organization, ALS Afghanistan, to support needy families in the villages of Malim Akbar, Khan, Tajikan, and Dad Mohammad in Baghlan Province through a new agricultural project.

The distribution: goats, flour, and oil for 14 families

We have already carried out several successful projects involving cows and chickens in the past; this time, we decided to focus on goats. By the end of July, the time had come. We were able to make the first distribution of goats, flour, and oil to 14 pre-selected families in need.

Each family received a mother goat with her kid, a 50-kg bag of flour, and a 5-liter bottle of oil. The oil was purchased because the originally estimated price for the goats was higher than the actual price. Our staff used the difference to buy flour and oil, which was very well received by the families.
