The earthquake took away Shir Bano’s home and livelihood. The lives of the mother and her seven children were turned upside down. Her daughters Sediqa and Nahida are currently studying at a boarding school. Shirin Bano lives with her son Mohammad and her four other daughters—Fereshta, Palwasha, Malali, and Madina—in a small, fragile tent amid the rubble.
