22-year-old Sheba comes from Ahmad Shah Baba Mena and, like all Afghan women and girls, suffers under the strict regime that offers women no prospects for education or development. She was born into a poor family, her father is ill and her two brothers are still minors. Only her mother is able to keep the family afloat with small temporary jobs such as washing and cleaning in neighboring houses. They live for rent in a small, run-down house.

Sheba had finished school before the fall of the government. With the help of her relatives, she has learned English and would like to continue her studies at a reputable center in Kabul. A monthly support of 50 € would be required for the training course. Unfortunately, she won’t be able to do anything with these skills under the current regime but there is hope that one day things will change and Sheba wants to be prepared to contribute.
